Fattoush Express Cafe & Grill, which had just been incorporated in [[Taylor, Michigan|Taylor]], purchased the property on June 29, 2016, and proceeded to remodel the building to house a Mediterranean restaurant of the same name, which opened on May 7, 2017. The building was reported as listed for sale in August 2021, and Fattoush Express Cafe & Grill's phone lines were disconnected as well around the same time, both indicatingindicators that the restaurant had closed.
