2219 North Farwell Avenue is a commercial building located on Farwell Avenue in the Lower East Side neighborhood of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
History[edit | edit source]
2219 North Farwell Avenue was formerly the location of an apartment building, which was severely damaged by a fire on August 2, 1994,[1] and subsequently demolished.
The current building was constructed in 1996.[2] The building is owned by Bieck Management, and consists of two commercial spaces, which were previously occupied by a Subway restaurant[3] and a Utrecht Art Supply store. The Utrecht chain was acquired by Dick Blick in 2013, and all Utrecht stores were converted into Blick Art Materials stores. The Blick store closed on January 19, 2019, after its lease expired while Bieck was planning to redevelop the building.[4] In October 2021, a Dogtopia dog boarding facility opened in the building.[5]
