Before 1983, the property was owned by the [[Belle City Credit Union]], as part of its branchlocation at [[3413 Rapids Drive (Racine, Wisconsin)|3413 Rapids Drive]]. The Belle City Credit Union divided the parcel and sold the part of it that became 3525 Rapids Drive to the Racine Poster Advertising Company on June 16, 1983.<ref name=city-property/> The company sold the property to the [[Wisconsin Department of Transportation]] on October 4 of that year, and [[Farmers & Merchants Bank of Racine]] purchased the property from the DOT on October 6.<ref name=city-property/> Farmers & Merchants Bank built its first branch location on the site, which opened on June 18, 1984.<ref>[https://www.newspapers.com/clip/61195417/the-journal-times/ "The branch bank is bigger"], [[Racine Journal Times]], June 24, 1984, page 1E.</ref> F&M Bank was acquired by [[First Bank Southeast]] in May 1985.<ref>Pfankuchen, David.
