Dollar General is an American chain of dollar stores operated by the Dollar General Corporation. As of October 30, 2020, there were 16,979 Dollar General stores in operation, located in all states except Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, and Washington.[1] Dollar General is the largest retail chain in the United States by store count,[2] and the 18th largest in the country by sales volume.[3]
