Kmart #4389 was a Kmart discount department store located at Kmart Plaza, 1801 South 10th Street in McAllen, Texas.[1] The store opened on November 22, 1971,[2] and closed on April 11, 2020.[3] It was the last Kmart in Texas to close.

Renovations[edit | edit source]

  • In 1991, the store would be expanded and remodeled from a pre-1972 full-size model Kmart, with a grand reopening ceremony on November 14.[4]
  • In 1999, the store would be converted to Big Kmart.[5]
