Kmart #7440 was a Kmart discount department store located at 655 Main Street Northwest in Bourbonnais, Illinois.[1] The store opened on September 17, 1981. In between 1989 and 1993, the store would be expanded from a Group 7 mini Kmart.[2] The store closed on February 2, 1994,[1] when it was replaced by Kmart 7525 in Bradley, alongside Kmart 4322 in Kankakee. The store later became Ace Hardware in 1996,[3] and was torn down for Jewel Osco in 2004.[3][1]
