Kmart #9744 was a Kmart discount department store located at Lake Plaza, 104 Northwest Parkway in Azle, Texas.[1] The store opened on July 16, 1981.[2] In 1992, the store would be remodeled and expanded from a 9500 series mini Kmart, with a grand reopening ceremony on November 11.[3] In 1998, the store would be converted to Big Kmart, with a grand reopening ceremony on August 16.[4] The store closed on April 13, 2003.[5]
