CVS Pharmacy 8131 was built on the property in the summer of 2007. When it opened later that year, it consolidated two other CVS drugstores in the city of Lincoln Park--the former CVS Pharmacy 8131 on Fort Street north of Southfield Road and CVS Pharmacy 8018 in the Lincoln Park Plaza.▼
Food Basics #552 lasted in this location for barely more than a year, and was shuttered on June 26, 2005. It was quickly replaced by Food Mart, a Spartan Stores-supplied store. The property was sold to CVS on March 2, 2007, and it is assumed that Food Mart immediately closed as a result of this transaction. A demolition permit was issued three days later on March 5, and demolition took place between March 29 and April 13.
