3426 Cypress Street is the location of the Sunshine Heights Shopping Center, located in West Monroe, LA.
-First business was a Safeway Superstore, which was built around 1979/1980. Safeway was bought out by Brookshire's Grocery Co. in 1988; Brookshire's was completely renovated in 2010 with an updated storefront, a 1,000 sq ft addition, new roof, new layout, new equipment, paint. In 2022, the store was remodeled with new decor, paint, floors, etc.
-In 1982, Kmart opened a new store to the right of Safeway. Eckerd Drugs also had a location between Safeway and Kmart, also built in 1982.
-Eckerd Drugs left the shopping center around 1999/2000 when a new location was built across the street in 1999. Dollar Tree has been in this location since 2003.
-Kmart left the shopping center in 1994 after a new Super Kmart was built at 111 Constitution Drive, West Monroe, in 1993. The former Kmart has been subdivided into different businesses, which include Beall's, Rent-a-Center, Goodwill, and Crawfish City.
-Church's Chicken has operated at this location since 2006.
-St. Francis Urgent Care and Peach Tree Dental opened at this location in 2019.
-PJ's Coffee opened a store in 2022.
