History

The Royal Oak pub was first listed as a Grade II building on January 6, 1966.[1]

In 2012, the locals fought off a planning application to turn the building into a house. Later, local investors had bought the pub and it was reopened again in 2015.

In 2020, TV presenter James May became a shareholder of the business.[2]
