(de:Keupstraße) is a shopping street in Cologne's Mülheim district on the right bank of the Rhine. It is known nationwide as a center of business life for people of Turkish origin and is considered a typical example of a commercial street of an immigrant neighborhood To commemorate the victims of the attack ([[2004_Cologne_bombing|Cologne bombing), the decision was made to erect a memorial to commemorate both of the NSU's explosive attacks in Cologne, i.e. the one in Probsteigasse in 2001 and the one in Keupstraße in 2004. After a competition, Ulf Aminde's memorial design was selected in November 2016, a "virtual house" near Keupstraße that would serve as a meeting place. In June 2018, the makers of the Favoriten Festival reported that the project was not moving forward because investor interests had taken precedence in the planned plot of land.
