Kmart #7077 was a Kmart discount department store located at 1129 Morgan Boulevard in Harlingen, Texas.[1] The store opened on October 14, 1976 as the 58th Kmart in Texas, the second Kmart in the Lower Rio Grande Valley area, and one of seven stores to open that day for a total of 1,151 Kmarts overall.[2] In 1989, the store would expand into the former auto center from a Group 7 mini Kmart.[3] In 1999, the store would be converted to Big Kmart, with a grand re-opening ceremony on August 13.[4] The store ultimately closed on December 11, 2016.[5][6]
