Kmart 7439

Kmart #7439 was a Kmart discount department store located at West Road Plaza, 10261 North Freeway in Houston, Texas.[1] The store opened on November 16, 1992 as part of a Kmart power center with PACE Membership Warehouse 433 and Builders Square 1344, followed by a formal grand opening ceremony on November 19.[2] It was the replacement store for Kmart 4328 and Kmart 7449. In 1997, the store would be converted to one of the first 24 Big Kmart's in Texas, with a grand re-opening ceremony on November 14.[3] The store ultimately closed on April 13, 2003.[4][5]
