Kmart #9008 was a Kmart discount department store located at 1181 North 6th Street in Monmouth, Illinois. The store opened in November 1974 and closed on December 21, 1990.[1] The building remained vacant until it was acquired by Monmouth College in 2010, to be used as temporary classroom space. It is now the site of a Fareway grocery store.[2]
