Kmart #9406 was a Kmart discount department store located at 10140 North 91st Avenue in Peoria, Arizona. The store opened on November 17, 2000,[1] with a grand opening ceremony beginning the following day.[2] The store was sold to Sears to be converted into a Sears Essentials in 2004,[3] shortly before the two chains merged. The Sears Essentials store closed on October 16, 2011 to be converted back into Kmart,[4] which ultimately closed permanently on January 13, 2013.[5][6]
