McDonald's is an international chain of fast food restaurants owned or franchised by the McDonald's Corporation. As of September 30, 2020, there were 39,096 McDonald's locations in 119 countries, 2,658 (7%) of which were owned and operated by the McDonald's Corporation, and 36,438 (93%) of which were franchised.
