Rosehart Montessori School was a private early education Montessori school 
and daycare, located at 4052 North Main Street in Caledonia, Wisconsin. It operated from 1965 to 1992.

Rosehart was the second Montessori school in the Racine area, after the Racine Montessori School opened in 1963. It was founded in 1965 by Rose Hartman, a former teaching assistant at the Racine Montessori School.[1] The schoolroom was constructed as an addition to Hartman's house at 4052 North Main Street. Instruction began in November 1965, with a class of 17 preschoolers, and tuition was $350 per year.[2] The school expanded to include a daycare center in 1972, directed by Montessori teacher and nun Sister Ruthanne Reed, who founded Small World Montessori School in Racine after one year at Rosehart.[3] The school closed in 1992, and Hartman's house was demolished for an expansion of the neighboring North Point Shops shopping center.[note 1]

- ↑ Rosehart Montessori held an open house for the public in March 1992.[4] The Racine Journal Times does not appear to have written about the school's closure or the building's demolition. The next reference to the address 4052 North Main Street in the Journal Times is a business listing from January 1993 for Julie's Personal Touch florists, which opened a second location at North Point Shops.[5] See also the aerial imagery of North Point Shops from 1984, before the expansion, and 1995, after Rosehart was demolished.
