S.S. Kresge #773 was a S.S. Kresge variety store located at 1405 East Elizabeth Street in Brownsville, Texas.[1] The store opened on August 3, 1961 as the 13th Kresge in Texas, and one of two stores to open that day for a total of 776 Kresges overall.[2] It was the only downtown, non-shopping center Kresge store in Texas. The store ultimately closed on August 19, 1967.[3]
