Shopko Hometown #209 was a Shopko discount department store located at 908 Northwest 6th Street in Tulia, Texas.[1] The store opened on November 11, 2016, followed by a formal grand opening ceremony on November 17.[2] It was one of the last three Shopko Hometowns to open in Texas. The store closed around May 2018. Prior to Shopko, the site was previously occupied by Gibson's Discount Center, which became Winn's 235 in 1982, and ALCO Discount Store 248 in 1999, the latter of which was destroyed by a tornado in April 2007.[3]
