Target T-173, also known as Vance Jackson, was a Target discount department store located at 2643 Northwest Loop 410 in San Antonio, Texas.[1] The store opened on February 23, 1983, followed by a formal grand opening ceremony on February 28.[2] It was one of the first six Targets in the San Antonio area, and one of 15 stores to open that day for a total of 38 Targets in Texas, and 182 overall. In 1995, the store would be remodeled to P93.[3] The store closed on or around March 4, 2003 when it was replaced by Target T-1523.[4] The main building was torn down for Academy Sports + Outdoors 47, with the adjacent auto center becoming Discount Tire 1252.[5]
