Manuel Rodriguez Theater and Plaza At the intersection of Grajales and Club Hípico streets in the University District of Santiago is the former "Manuel Rodríguez" Theater and movie theater; a beautiful concrete building with Classicist and Modern influences built between 1939 and 1940. Property of the Chilean Consolidated Insurance Company, its construction was in charge of the architect Eduardo Valdés and had capacity for more than 1500 people. On its cornice, despite the passage of time, you can still see its original name in bas-relief. Declared a "Historic Conservation Building", today it is privately owned and houses an evangelical temple. [1]
