Toys "R" Us #5605, also known as Bakersfield, was a Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us toy and clothing store located at The Shops on Ming, 3792 Ming Avenue in Bakersfield, California.[1] The store opened on September 30, 1982, with a formal grand opening ceremony on October 16.[2] The store would later be remodeled to a 1990s rainbow tiles store, and a Side-by-side store between 2008 and 2012, the latter adding a Babies "R" Us location. The store closed on June 29, 2018, during the chain's bankruptcy proceedings.
