Venture #139, also known as Meyerland, was a Venture discount department store located at 300 Meyerland Plaza Mall in Houston, Texas.[1] The store opened on or around October 10, 1994,[2] with a formal grand opening ceremony on October 16.[3] The store closed on or around August 31, 1997.[2] Prior to Venture, the site was previously occupied by W.T. Grant (later Hancock Fabrics) and several smaller tenants.
