In 1982, the New Haven Banking Center, operated by Southeast Bank and managed by Donald B. Toohill, was built and opened on the site.[1][2]
Pier 1 Imports, store #726, opened at the site in 1990, building a new structure on the property.[3]. Store #726 operated at this location until 2020, when Pier 1 Imports announced the closure of all stores.[4].
In late summer 2020, job postings implied that Spirit Halloween would open at the former Pier 1, but likely due to the store's liquidation taking longer than expected, this did not occur and the location did not appear on Spirit Halloween's store locator.
