Albertsons #4007 was an Albertsons supermarket located at 4818 South Padre Island Drive in Corpus Christi, Texas.[1] The store opened on September 26, 1973 as Skaggs Albertsons, and the first Albertsons in Corpus Christi.[2] In 1977, the store would be renamed to "Albertsons", due to conflicts with Albertsons and Skaggs Drug Centers that resulted in the split of the Skaggs Albertsons partnership.[3] In September 2001, it was announced the store would close on or around November 1, 2001, making it the second Albertsons to close in Corpus Christi.[4]
