Albertsons #4007 was an Albertsons supermarket located at 4818 South Padre Island Drive in Corpus Christi, Texas.[1] The store opened on September 26, 1973 as Skaggs Albertsons,[2] and was the first Albertsons in Corpus Christi. In 1977, the store would be renamed to "Albertsons", due to conflicts with Albertsons and Skaggs Drug Centers that resulted in the split of the Skaggs Albertsons partnership.[3] In 1986, the store would be remodeled, with a formal grand opening ceremony on April 1.[4] In September 2001, it was announced the store would close on or around November 1, 2001, making it the second Albertsons to close in Corpus Christi.[5]
