Blockbuster #55008 was a Blockbuster video store located at Greentree Centre, 5055 Douglas Avenue in Caledonia, Wisconsin.[1] The store was located in a purpose-built outlying building in the shopping center facing Douglas Avenue, which was built in 1993.[2] The location was the last in Racine County when it abruptly closed in July 2011.[3] The vacant building was not occupied again until it became the site of a temporary seasonal Spirit Halloween store in the fall of 2017.[4] The building remains vacant as of 2020, but Phillips Edison & Company, the owners of Greentree Centre, split the building into three retail spaces in 2019 which remain available for lease.[5]
