Burger King opened in 1994, 5 years after the first location opened in nearby Harnett Crossing. After moderate sales closed the location in Harnett Crossing, the location was bustling, as it was not far from Interstate 95. It was formerly a blue building with a solarium, but was converted to a dark grey building with grey shake shingled roof. The location also has a large tower sign located in the nearby Exxon.
Closure[edit | edit source]
The Burger King in Dunn was announced to be shut down on October 4, 2021, after completion of a brand new Burger King located across the street. The restaurant was temporarily closed as they transitioned to the Burger King 29310 located nearby. This location's status is right now unknown, but several rumors have spread with a possible Popeyes going in (Burger King's parent company owns Popeye's, and Carrols provides services for Popeye's as well)
