The store opened on November 13, 1975 as the 15th store in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.[1] In 1993, it would be expanded from a Group 3 full-size Kmart with a grand re-opening taking place on April 25 of that year.[2] It was converted to Big Kmart by the end of 1998. The store ultimately closed on April 13, 2003,[3] and would be demolished for The Home Depot 555.[4]
