The store opened on November 13, 1975 as the 15th store in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.[1] In 1993, the store would be remodeled and expanded from a Group 3 full-size Kmart with a grand re-opening ceremony on April 25.[2] In 1998, the store would be converted to Big Kmart. The store ultimately closed on April 13, 2003,[3] and was torn down for The Home Depot 555.[4]
