Kmart #3456 was a Kmart discount department store located at Sunrise Mall, 2380 North Expressway 83 in Brownsville, Texas.[1] The store opened on August 23, 1979 as the second Kmart in Brownsville, the fourth Kmart in the Lower Rio Grande Valley area, and tied with Kmart 9575 for the 104th Kmart in Texas.[2] The store closed on or around June 9, 1999 when it was replaced by Kmart 9329,[3] and was torn down for an extension of the northwest wing of the mall.[4]
