Between 1989 and 1995, the store would be remodeled. In 1999, the store would be converted to Big Kmart, with a grand re-opening ceremony on August 13.[3] The store ultimately closed on March 26, 2017,[4] making it the last Kmart in Central Texas to close.[5]
