Kmart #3489 was a Kmart discount department store located at Mission Shopping Center, 4977 Ayers Street in Corpus Christi, Texas.[1] The store opened on October 19, 1978 as the second Kmart in the Corpus Christi area, one of 13 stores to open that day for a total of 1,472 Kmarts overall and was tied with seven other Texas stores for the 80th Kmart in Texas.[2] The store ultimately closed on December 21, 1990.[3][4]
