Kmart #3909 was a Kmart discount department store located at 300 Meyerland Plaza Mall in Houston, Texas.[1] The store opened on November 14, 1997 as one of the first 24 Big Kmarts in Texas, with CEO Floyd Hall and Jaclyn Smith in attendance.[2] A formal grand opening ceremony was held on November 16.[3] The store ultimately closed on April 13, 2003.[4][5] It was one of the 2 stores to have a different type of a angled pillars facade/exterior, the other being Kmart 3776. other stores had a angled pillars facade but mostly the same type. Replaced by Target T-1975 in 2005
