Kmart #4070 was a Kmart discount department store located at 2176 Bankhead Highway Northwest in Atlanta, Georgia. Opening on March 16, 1964 in former Thrift City store buildings, the location and its twin, Kmart #4071 in Marietta, were the 56th and 57th stores in the Kmart chain and the first two in the Atlanta area. The attached food store opened ahead of time on January 1, 1964, the day after Thrift City's lease expired. The store closed in December 1996.
