The store opened on June 9, 1966 as the first Kmart in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Tenth Kmart in Texas, and the 128th Kmart overall.[1] The store ultimately closed on May 30, 1993 when it was replaced by Kmart 4773.[2][3]
