Kmart #4267 was a Kmart discount department store located at Kmart Plaza, 1405 West Pipeline Road in Hurst, Texas.[1] The store opened on October 31, 1968 as the third Kmart in Tarrant county, and one of five stores to open that day for a total of 259 Kmarts overall.[2] It was also tied with Kmart 4300 for the eighth store in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and the 23rd Kmart in Texas. In 1985, the store would be remodeled, with a grand reopening ceremony on October 16.[3] In 1992, the store would expand into the former Kmart Foods and be remodeled from a pre-1972 full-size model Kmart, with a grand re-opening ceremony on October 11.[4] In 1998, the store would be converted to Big Kmart, with a grand re-opening ceremony on August 16.[5] The store ultimately closed on April 13, 2003.[6][7]
