Kmart #4287 was a Kmart discount department store located at Kmart Plaza, 5000 Twin City Highway in Groves, Texas.[1] The store opened on July 23, 1970 as the 30th Kmart in Texas, and the 365th Kmart overall.[2] In 1985, the store would be remodeled, with a grand reopening ceremony on May 22.[3] The store would be remodeled again in 1992, with a grand re-opening ceremony on April 30.[4] The store ultimately closed on May 7, 1995, when it was replaced by Kmart 4959.[5]
