Kmart #4299 was a Kmart discount department store located at 11037 East Freeway in Houston, Texas.[1] The store opened on August 21, 1969 as the eighth Kmart in Harris County, the ninth Kmart in the Houston area, the 25th Kmart in Texas, and one of two stores to open that day for a total of 300 Kmarts overall.[2] The store closed on or around May 5, 1996.[3][4]
