Kmart #4302 was a Kmart discount department store located at Kmart Plaza, 6327 Stewart Road in Galveston, Texas.[1] The store opened on July 17, 1969.[2] In 1993, the store would be expanded and remodeled from a pre-1972 full-size model Kmart,[3] with a grand reopening ceremony on September 9.[4] In 1997, the store would be converted to one of the first 24 Big Kmarts in Texas, with a grand reopening ceremony on November 14.[5] The store closed on April 13, 2003.[6]
