Kmart #4389 was a Kmart discount department store located at Kmart Plaza, 1801 South 10th Street in McAllen, Texas.[1] The store opened on November 22, 1971.[2] In 1991, the store would be expanded and remodeled from a pre-1972 full-size model Kmart, with a grand reopening ceremony on November 14.[3] In 1999, the store would be converted to Big Kmart.[4] The store closed on April 11, 2020,[5] making it the last Kmart in Texas to close.
