Kmart #4972 was a Super Kmart Center discount department store located at 6501 University Avenue in Lubbock, Texas.[1]

The store opened on July 10, 1995, replacing Kmart 4354 and Kmart 7218, with a formal grand opening ceremony on July 13.[2] In 2009, the store would be converted to a regular Kmart.[3] The store closed on December 11, 2016.[4]
