Kmart #7170 was a Kmart discount department store located at 2300 West University Drive in Denton, Texas.[1] The store opened on November 3, 1977 as the 61st Kmart in Texas.[2] Between 1989 and 1995, the store would be expanded into the former auto center from a Group 7 mini Kmart and be remodeled. In 1998, the store would be converted to Big Kmart. The store ultimately closed on April 13, 2003.[3][4]
