Kmart #7227 was a Kmart discount department store located at 1701 East Farm-to-Market Road 700 in Big Spring, Texas.[1] The store opened on November 16, 1978 as one of 26 stores to open that day for a total of 1,530 Kmarts overall, and was tied with seven other Texas stores for the 93rd Kmart in Texas.[2] The store ultimately closed on July 18, 1987, making it the eighth Kmart to close in Texas.[3][4]
