Kmart #7300 was a Kmart discount department store located at Kmart Plaza, 315 South Santa Rosa Avenue in San Antonio, Texas.[1] The store opened on October 19, 1978 as one of the first six Kmarts in the city of San Antonio, one of 13 stores to open that day for a total of 1,472 Kmarts overall, and was tied with seven other Texas stores for the 80th Kmart in Texas.[2] It was the only Kmart in a downtown urban area in Texas. The store would later be converted to Big Kmart before ultimately closing on April 13, 2003,[3] and was torn down for the San Antonio Public Safety Headquarters.[4]
