K mart Corp. will open its fifth store in Rhode Island on Aug. 19, a 72,800 square-foot branch in a shopping center on Elmwood Avenue near the intersection of Route 95 and across from the Cranston Bowl.Two other Rhode Island retailers - Almac's and CVS - will join K mart in the shopping plaza, which is being developed by Elmwood Avenue Associates.
