Kmart #9607 was a Kmart discount department store located at 224 Borger Shopping Plaza in Borger, Texas.[1] The store opened on November 19, 1979,[2] and was tied with Kmart 7286 for the 116th Kmart in Texas. Between 1989 and 1995, the store would expand into the former garden and auto centers and be remodeled from a Group 9 mini Kmart. The store would be converted to Big Kmart before ultimately closing on May 19, 2002.[3][4]
