Safeway #2469 was a Safeway supermarket located at 469 Cole Shopping Center , Cheyenne, Wyoming.[1] A Safeway resided in the area of Cole Shopping Center since the early 1950s[2] although it was fully rebuilt just to the east of the old store in the early 1960s. In the late 1970s, an expansion was built onto the newer Safeway building.[3] This Safeway used to be addressed to 400 Cole Shopping Center.[4][5][6] It closed at the end of April 2016 with plans to build a new store, but the new store never came.[7] It was demolished in 2019.[8] Today, a parking lot for Blue FCU's World Headquarters takes the spot where Safeway once stood.
