Venture #139, also known as the Meyerland Venture store, was a Venture discount department store located at 300 Meyerland Plaza Mall in Houston, Texas.[1] The store opened on or around October 10, 1994,[2] followed by a formal grand opening ceremony on October 16.[3] The store closed on or around September 3, 1997.[4] Prior to Venture, the site was previously occupied by Hancock Fabrics and several smaller tenants. A picture of the store was featured on the Venture website.[5]
