The property that would hold Walgreens #5168 was split off on June 11, 1998 by Woodhaven-based Hennessey Engineers, Incorporated.^[3]

On December 24, 2010, a Monroe woman stole Christmas gifts from a Pontiac G6 that was parked at the store.^[4]
On April 7, 2016, at about 9 p.m., a Woodhaven woman refused to end a profanity-laced phone call inside the store and was arrested.^[5]
On October 4, 2016, at about 9:30 p.m., a man robbed a clerk at gunpoint as part of a crime spree that he was committing at multiple businesses in Michigan and Ohio.^[6]
On October 12, 2016, at about 2:30 p.m., a woman went on a shoplifting spree while carrying her baby.^[7]
